Our Language Assessments
We offer three different types of language evaluation services that measure language skills applicable to multiple job types within many industries. Many of our clients use one specific type of assessment to gauge language skill level, while others utilize multiple assessments to meet their needs.
The assessments determine the individual’s language skills based on a 12-level scale. They can be easily scheduled online; are affordable; and results are typically provided quickly after the completion of the assessment.
The types of assessments include:
Reading Assessment
The Reading Assessment is an online test. The assessment:
- Verifies if an individual can read and comprehend a target language at a pre-determined skill level.
- Consists of a variety of passages in the language being tested.
- Each passage is followed by a series of multiple-choice questions.
- Scoring is on a percent basis, which allows you to determine if the individual can read and comprehend the language at your required level.
Writing Assessment
The Writing Assessment tests the individual’s skill in producing clear, accurate, and effective writing in a target language. The writing evaluations:
- Consist of a variety of prompts that mimic scenarios in a variety of business settings.
- Scored using the 12-level scale.
- Results are typically available in two business days after the completion of the assessment.
Speaking & Listening Assessment
Measures the skill of an individual to understand, speak clearly, and have a conversation in a target language. This assessment:
- Utilizes a series of specific questions designed to measure an individual’s ability to converse in the target language.
- Questions gradually increase in complexity.
- Require the individual being tested to perform various spoken tasks.
- Scored using the 12-level scale.
