CETRA is Recertified to the ISO Quality Standard

CETRA Language Solutions was recently recertified to the ISO 9001:2015 international quality management standard.  The review was performed in April by the Performance Review Institute (PRI).  While CETRA is audited annually for compliance with its ISO certification, PRI performs a full recertification every three years.

It’s been a busy year already for CETRA. In February, CETRA launched its CETRA Translate app for e-discovery translations. The app allows legal teams to translate more than 130 foreign languages into English without leaving their own Relativity platform. CETRA Translate is included in the official Relativity App Hub.

Earlier this year, CETRA was named to the Slator 2024 Language Service Provider Index (LSPI) and also earned Great Place to Work® Certification for the second straight year.

“CETRA is dedicated to providing language services, including translation and interpretation, that meet or exceed client and regulatory requirements from our locations in the US and Europe,” said Michael Harter, CETRA’s Technology and Quality Manager. “At the same time, we don’t stand still. We strive to continuously improve the effectiveness of our quality management and increase productivity.”

The recertification demonstrates CETRA’s adherence to internationally recognized quality management standards and best practices. CETRA is also a corporate member of the American Translators Association (ATA) and follows the ATA’s Code of Professional Conduct and Business Practices. In addition, CETRA adheres to ASTM International’s translation and interpretation quality standard guides.

CETRA’s ISO 9001:2015 certification standard follows the same overall structure as ISO’s other management system standards (known as the High-Level Structure), and puts increased importance on risk-based thinking in quality management.

The requirements for ISO 9001:2015 certification include having a Quality Management System (QMS) that consistently meets or exceeds customer and regulatory requirements, as well as having a commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction through continuous improvement of the QMS.
