Language Industry Updates: Dr. Jiri Stejskal presents at ELIA’s Networking Days in Athens

On Thursday, November 10th, 2011 at 10AM, Dr. Jiri Stejskal will present, “The Current Status of Standards in the Language Industry” at the European Language Industry Association’s (ELIA) Networking Days in Athens, Greece. Following the demise of the Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA) in early 2011, the language industry standards landscape underwent significant changes. The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) undertook The GALA Standards Initiative in order to sort it all out. The session will start with an overview of existing language standards and will zero in on new developments such as the Linport Project and the work of the ISO Technical Committee 37.
