CETRA Now Offers 24/7 Remote ASL Interpretation
CETRA Language Solutions now provides clients with on-demand American Sign Language (ASL) Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) to include calls that occur outside the hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm EST. This new service capability bolsters CETRA’s already established capacity to provide remote interpretation services, including Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and VRI.
The expansion of hours to 24/7 coverage for ASL interpretation, ensures that our clients and those in need of ASL interpretation can:
- Connect with appropriate healthcare professionals during a medical emergency at any time
- Make urgent calls to emergency services whenever needed
- Access legal services outside of regular business hours
- Communicate with customer service representatives across time zones
The 24/7 remote ASL services are fully HIPAA compliant and provide the highest level of privacy and security when it comes to sharing sensitive information.
“We’ve seen first-hand the increasing importance of remote services to the legal, medical and other industries,” said Robin Smith, Director of Interpretation Services at CETRA, when CETRA enhanced its capacity to provide remote interpretation services earlier this year. “Our telephonic and video interpretation services are user-friendly, provide seamless and clear connections, and offer many conveniences and budgetary benefits for clients.”
In addition to OPI and VRI services, CETRA continues to provide on-site services, including both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation.
CETRA’s remote interpretation services cover more than 250 foreign languages in addition to ASL. Clients can expect high-quality services through CETRA’s scheduled and on-demand remote interpretation platform. Interpreters for CETRA’s OPI and VRI services are matched to client assignments based on years of experience, area of expertise, and credentials.
CETRA’s interpretation project managers are trained to assist clients with their scheduled and on-demand remote interpretation services. Project management includes initial setup and an ongoing review of the provided services, including post-call feedback on the technology, speed of connection, interpretation quality, and scheduling.
CETRA is ISO 9001:2015 certified, adheres to ASTM International standards and is a corporate member of the American Translators Association (ATA) and the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA).
