Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween 2020 from CETRAHappy Halloween from all of us at CETRA. Halloween is celebrated each year on October 31. While not all countries celebrate this holiday (Mexico and Great Britain are two examples of those who do not recognize Halloween), the tradition is celebrated in Ireland, the United States and Canada. In fact, it started in Ireland where one of CETRA’s offices is located.

According to History.com, Halloween originated in Ireland with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain.  During this festival people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. Limerick, where CETRA’s office in Ireland is located, still holds an annual festival to celebrate what has become Halloween.

While celebrating may look a little different this year, we still want to take time to dress up, enjoy treats and say Happy Halloween!
