SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PROPOSALS

XIX World Congress of the International Federation of Translators

San Francisco, USA, 1-4 August 2011

We are pleased to announce that the Organizing Committee of the XIX World Congress of the International Federation of Translators (FIT) has received several dozen quality proposals for sessions and panels. If you would like to be considered as a speaker or a panelist at the Congress, please make your submission at http://www.fit2011.org/proposals.htm. The deadline is December 10, 2010, and the program is filling quickly. The sessions are typically 60 or 90 minutes in length, but other formats will be considered. We also encourage participants to team up with their colleagues and submit a panel presentation with multiple speakers. Presentations that spotlight the interpreting profession are particularly welcome.

Presentations may be offered in English and French and may be submitted under the following categories:
