CETRA Celebrates its 15th Anniversary

CETRA Language Solutions celebrates fifteen years of business.

CETRA was incorporated in March of 1997 after the company President and CEO, Dr. Jiri Stejskal, was offered an opportunity to provide translation services to a large law firm that was litigating a dispute between a Czech bank and a US software firm. After seeing the project scope, he immediately incorporated and began hiring translators to assist with the project.

“I realized that a business opportunity was staring me in the face,” he says. After he founded the company, he completed his doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania and enrolled in Temple University’s executive MBA program to develop a better understanding of business management.

In 2010, CETRA launched a new division, CETRA Federal Services, in order to better serve CETRA’s growing number of federal customers.

In 2011, CETRA acquired International Language Solutions, Inc., a company which primarily provides interpretation services to hospitals and local government agencies in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

After being awarded the Philly 100, Inc. 5000, and US Chamber of Commerce Blue Ribbon awards for four years in a row, CETRA enjoys continued growth and will soon be opening new offices in Ireland and in California.
