CETRA Attends “Memorable” STC Presentation on Virtual Presentations

Virtual PresentationCETRA’s Anukware Selase Adzima recently attended the virtual presentation “From Meh to Memorable! Create IMPACT in Your Virtual Presentations”. The presentation was organized and hosted by the Philadelphia Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication. The presentation featured Beth Anne Ashley, the founder of DemoNOW Consulting.

Anukware’s participation in the presentation is part of CETRA’s ongoing engagement with the technology industry and technical writer’s community.

“The presentation successfully showcased demonstrable skills to enhance engagement with your audience during online presentations,” said Anukware. “The ideas outlined during the presentation were transferable to general and specific audiences, such as clients and internal staff. It certainly was a ‘memorable’ presentation.”

The presentation featured how to integrate the DemoIMPACT methodology into presentations.

“Despite the increase in online events, it can still be daunting to be a virtual speaker – especially when speaking about a technical topic,” said Anukware. “The presentation provided insight into giving webinars, while instilling confidence as a technical speaker and virtual presenter.”

Anukware will continue his involvement with the STC by attending another of its chapter events later this month, while also giving his own STC presentation on technical translations along with Evan Schapiro, CETRA’s director of translation services.
