CETRA Recertified to ISO 9001:2015
CETRA Language Solutions is proud to announce that it has been recertified by the Performance Review Institute to the ISO 9001:2015 international quality management standard. CETRA is one of the few language service providers in the United States to hold this prestigious certification.
The requirements for ISO 9001:20015 certification include having a Quality Management System (QMS) that consistently meets or exceeds customer and regulatory requirements, as well as having a commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction through continuous improvement of the QMS.
CETRA was previously certified to ISO’s 9001:2008 certification standard. The current standard follows the same overall structure as ISO’s other management system standards (known as the High-Level Structure), and puts increased importance on risk-based thinking in quality management.
According to the ISO, the updated standard includes the following benefits:
- Puts greater emphasis on leadership management
- Helps address organizational risks and opportunities in a structured manner
- Includes simplified language and a common structure and terms
- Addresses supply chain management more effectively
- Is more user-friendly for service and knowledge-based organizations
The recertification demonstrates CETRA’s adherence to internationally recognized quality management standards and best practices. Clients can rest assured that they are receiving quality translation and interpretation services with CETRA, and that we are dedicated to superior customer service and satisfaction.
What is ISO 9001?
The ISO is an international agency composed of the national standards bodies of more than 170 countries. ISO 9001 was originally published in 1987, and it is the international standard that specifies requirements for an organizational QMS. Organizations large and small from across the globe use the standard to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products or services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
According to ISO, the 9001 standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach, and continuous improvement.
