Dr. Jiri Stejskal, President and CEO of CETRA is pleased to announce the opening of a new language services facility in San Diego, California. This is another step towards the company’s strategic goal to offer 24/7 operations, following the launch of CETRA Ireland operation earlier this year.
Jiri Stejskal says, “During the recession we positioned ourselves for rapid growth and now it’s show time. Geographic expansion is a key building block of our strategic plan and we are excited to set up an outpost in California!”
Upon the opening of the office at 2534 State Street, San Diego, CA on September 4th CETRA will be in operations from 4:00 am EST until 9:00pm EST. Apart from extension of general business hours the southern California location was selected to better serve key market research, life sciences and legal clients with offices on the West Coast.
The opening in California follows the announcement of several accolades acquired by CETRA, including being ranked Top 22nd Language Services Provider in North America by Common Sense Advisory and being awarded a finalist of the US Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award.
CETRA can attribute some of its success to the growth of its Federal Services division, led by Matt Richman. Prime contract wins include a $2.3M single award contract with the Veterans Affairs Administration and $550,000 in single award contracts with US Marine Forces South, Army South, Southern Command, and Pacific Command.
Another area of growth is the Interpretation division, completing an average of 5 conference interpretation projects per month. This year alone, CETRA has acquired International Language Solutions in Alexandria, VA, and opened an office in Ireland and California, further establishing roots for future growth.
