Dr. Jiri Stejskal, founder and president of CETRA, earned both MA and PhD degrees in Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Pennsylvania and an Executive MBA degree at Temple University. He has more than 25 years of experience as a translator and has also taught undergraduate and graduate language courses as a part-time lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania since 1990. He has been a member of the American Translators Association (ATA) since 1991. Jiri served as ATA Treasurer from 2001 to 2005, President-Elect from 2005 to 2007, and President from 2007 to 2009. Molly Stejskal has been assisting her husband Jiri since he launched his career as a translator, proofreading texts that had been translated into English. A musician by profession with a BA from Oberlin College and a MM in Vocal Performance from Temple University, she has a reading knowledge of six languages. She joined CETRA as a part-time consultant in January 2005, and has gradually become more involved in administrative duties, as well as continuing to contribute her English language expertise to both the production and marketing staff. In February 2009 she was named the company’s Vice President.

Angèle Surault joined CETRA in May 2006 as Project Manager. She earned her MBA from the University of Central Florida (Orlando) after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Angèle worked for 5 years at TNS, one of the largest international marketing research companies, in the International Data Collections Department, first as a bilingual interviewer and later as an editor and in-house translation supervisor. Born in France, Angèle lived in England and Germany before coming to the U.S. In 2007, Angèle was awarded Professional Researcher Certification by the Marketing Research Association. Angèle was promoted to the position of Senior Project Manager in 2008, and in 2009 became Director of Translation Services.

Tony Guerra joined CETRA in June 2007 as Head of Interpretation Services to launch our interpretation division. He holds an MFA from Temple University and a BFA from Philadelphia’s University of the Arts. A native of Havana, Cuba, Tony has been involved with the language services industry since 1994, first as Chief Editor of Spanish content for Dun & Bradstreet’s Donnelley Directory, then as Education Marketing Manager for Franklin Electronic Publishers, and also as a strategic planner for Hispanic marketing initiatives at SAI Marketing. In 2001 he became a Language Services and Communications Consultant, specializing in Spanish legal, medical and labor translation, interpretation and communication for law firms, hospitals, corporations and language companies until 2005, when he assumed the position of Director of Translation and Interpretation at Nationalities Service Center in Philadelphia. Tony became CETRA's Director of Interpretation Services in July 2009. In 2011, he was elected President of the Board of Directors of the Delaware Valley Translator's Association (DVTA). Most recently, he was elected to the position of Assistant Administrator of the medical division at the ATA.

Angela Wende joined CETRA in June 2007 as Assistant Manager for Marketing and Human Resources and became Marketing Manager in September 2007 and Director of Marketing in 2008. She earned her MBA from the University of Cologne, Germany, after completing an apprenticeship in Tourism Management at the German Travel Bureau (DER) in Frankfurt. Born in Germany, Angela lived in California and Heidelberg before coming to Pennsylvania. At California Bavarian Inc., Palo Alto, CA, Angela managed financial and real estate projects in Germany and France, and she held an executive director-level position at the Department of Public Health at Heidelberg University Clinic. Angela used to be a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Temple University teaching German, and she is a member of American Association of Teachers of German. She is pursuing her certificate in Teaching German as a Foreign Language at the Goethe Institute and has served in a volunteer position as the Marketing Chair of Keystone State Boychoir in Philadelphia since 2005.

Terry Adams joined CETRA in October 2007 in the position of Vendor Manager. She earned her BA in Social Welfare from The Pennsylvania State University. Upon graduation, Terry immediately began her career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Caseworker for the Department of Public Welfare. In 1980 she was promoted to Income Maintenance Examiner for the Division of Quality Control where she thrived until her retirement in June of 2007. Throughout her career, Terry has actively volunteered for community projects, including Chairperson of the Special Needs Committee for her local school district, in addition to a variety of fundraisers. Terry provides a high degree of organizational, investigative, and administrative skills to CETRA.

Andrew Moszkowicz joined CETRA in July 2009 as Project Manager. For the past 17 years, he has worked in various areas of the Marketing Research industry. His most recent positions were with TNS (one of the largest international research firms) where he was first responsible for the scheduling of all domestic consumer telephone research projects, and later was responsible for the selection of external sample suppliers for B2B and consumer interactive research projects (both domestic and international).

Matthew Richman joined CETRA in September 2009. He earned a BA in History from The College of New Jersey, and an MA in Russian and Soviet History from the University of Pennsylvania—serving for two years at Penn as a teaching assistant for courses on the Soviet Union and the Second World War, and writing a number of extensive research papers on related topics. He has studied Russian for several years, twice attending Middlebury College’s intensive Russian Language summer program. Through his graduate and advanced undergraduate work, he brings to CETRA years of organizational, research, writing, and editing experience. Matt is now serving as the Director of CETRA Federal Services in Washington, DC.

Phoebe Peterman joined CETRA in December 2009 as Project Manager. She earned a BA from Boston University in 2007 with a major in linguistics and a minor in African Studies. She has studied French, Hausa, Zarma, and American Sign Language. During college, she studied abroad in Niger, and after graduating, returned there for work.

Sarah Potts joined CETRA in January 2010 as Office Manager. She has over 30 years of administrative and organizational experience. Sarah lived in Panama before coming to the U.S. over 30 years ago. She is a native Spanish speaker.

Elizabeth Harter joined CETRA in March 2010 as Project Manager. She earned her BS in 2002 from St. Joseph’s University with a major in Marketing. After graduating she spent several years as a Project Manager in the Market Research industry and has experience in managing and scheduling production facilities.

Elizabeth Chegezy joined CETRA in September 2010 as Interpreting Services Associate. She earned a double BA in Spanish and International Studies from Dickinson College, followed by an MA in Spanish Translation and Interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. While in college and graduate school, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain several times. In addition to being a member of the growing Interpreting Services team at CETRA, she also works as a freelance Spanish translator and interpreter in the Philadelphia area.

Annett Thom joined CETRA in November 2010 as Project Manager. She holds a BBA in International Business and Marketing from Temple University. Before coming to the United States in 2003, she lived in Leipzig, Germany. A native German speaker, she has a great love for languages and in addition to English has studied French, Latin and Spanish.

Tim Hull joined CETRA in December 2010 as Project Manager. He earned a BA in International Development and Psychology from Tulane University in 2009. After graduating, he lived and worked in southern Spain, where he had previously studied in 2008. He returned to the Philadelphia area and worked in the field of psychology before coming to CETRA.

Thaddeus Thaler joined CETRA in March 2011 as Project Manager. A recipient of Phi Beta Kappa, he graduated with a BA in Spanish and a concentration in Latin American Studies from St. Olaf College, which he followed with a year of study at Middlebury College's School in Madrid, completing an MA in Spanish Linguistics. After attaining an MA in Liberal Arts from St. John's College, Santa Fe where he studied the great works of western thought, he received a Fulbright Research fellowship to Moscow for 2010-11. While conducting research, he studied Russian language at the Russian State University for the Humanities, furthering his Russian language abilities previously developed over two summers at Middlebury College's intensive Russian Language program.

Chenai Maguwah Chenai joined CETRA in June 2011 as Project Manager for interpretation services. She earned her BA in Urban Studies from the College of Wooster in 2007. After graduating, she began her career in the translation and localization industry as a project manager in New York, where she managed translation projects for Fortune 500 companies and mastered quality assurance procedures that adhere to ISO 9001 regulations. A native of Zimbabwe, Chenai is fluent in Shona and because of her enthusiastic interest in languages she has volunteered as an ESL instructor and received ESL instructor certification from ProLiteracy. In addition, Chenai has studied French and Swahili, and she has written articles about cultural differences between francophone countries and member states of the Commonwealth. Chenai's inspiration comes from a quote by Nelson Mandela: “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”

Andre Kononov joined CETRA in July 2011 as Project Manager. He earned a BS in Translation and Interpretation from Nevsky Institute of Language and Culture in St. Petersburg, Russia, followed by an MA in Translation from Kent State University, where he served as a teaching assistant. Between the two degree programs, Andre spent a year at Colorado College as Adjunct Russian Instructor and Cultural Program Coordinator, and then worked in Russia as a translator and interpreter, and as a translation project coordinator.

Brenna Mulvaney joined CETRA in September 2011 in the position of Marketing Manager. She earned a BA in International Relations from the Catholic University of America in 2010. After studying abroad in France, she moved there after graduation to teach.

Hyunjoo Park joined CETRA in September 2011 as a Project Manager. She earned an MA in translation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS) and another in translation and interpretation from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Korea. She worked as a professional translator for 4 years in the areas of construction, advertisement, marketing and planning. Her past career also includes working as a foreign correspondent and reporter in the finance sector.

Tommy Tomolonis joined CETRA in February 2012 as a Project Manager. He earned his BA from The College of Wooster in 2008, majoring in Spanish and minoring in French. During his time at Wooster, he also had the opportunity to spend a semester abroad in Córdoba, Spain where he studied at the Universidad de Córdoba. After graduation, he worked as a Spanish medical interpreter before being accepted into Kent State’s Institute of Applied Linguistics, from which he received his MA in translation in 2011. While at Kent, he also worked as a graduate assistant. Before coming to CETRA, Tommy worked as a project lead for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in addition to working as a freelance Spanish translator.

Adrian Wall joined CETRA in March 2012 as General Manager for CETRA Ireland, Ltd. He earned a degree in Business Studies in 1993 and a postgraduate diploma in Software Localization in 1998 from the University of Limerick in Ireland. Adrian has worked in the localization industry for over 14 years, specializing in software localization. He has held a number of senior technical roles working with companies such as Microsoft, Symantec, Corel, Lotus, and Filenet. For the past five years he has held the position of Localization Manager, first with Buffalo Technology and more recently with Beckman Coulter, Inc.

Grace Sheehan joined CETRA in March 2012 as a Project Manager for CETRA Ireland, Ltd. She earned a BA in New Media and English in 2010, and an MA in English Literature in 2011 from the University of Limerick in Ireland. During that time, she spent six months studying abroad in Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. She brings to CETRA a passion for culture, language, and communication.
