Dr. Jiri Stejskal, founder and president of CETRA, earned both M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Pennsylvania, an Executive MBA degree at Temple University, and has more than 20 years of experience as a translator. He has also taught undergraduate and graduate language courses as a part-time lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania since 1990. He is an active member of the American Translators Association (ATA). Jiri served as ATA Treasurer from 2001 to 2005, President-Elect from 2005 to 2007, and currently serves as ATA President. Jiri also serves as Treasurer of the American Foundation for Translation and Interpretation (AFTI), and Vice President of the International Federation of Translators (FIT). Jaroslava Kaderavkova joined CETRA in 1998 as a part-time project manager and editor for projects involving the Czech and Slovak languages. After retiring from her former career as a journalist and editor of technical publications for the Czech Patent Office, she opened CETRA’s branch office in Prague, Czech Republic, and became a liaison between CETRA and its translators in the East European region. Beth Podrovitz joined CETRA in July 2004 as a project manager. She earned her B.A. in French at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and her M.A. in Foreign Language and Literature with an emphasis in French to English translation from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Beth also taught French for four years before deciding to pursue a career in project management. She is a member of the American Translator’s Association (ATA). She became a senior project manager in July 2005 and Director of Operations in January 2007. Beth works from French into English. In September 2007, Beth was awarded the Professional Researcher Certification by the Marketing Research Association. Molly Stejskal has been assisting her husband Jiri since he launched his career as a translator, proofreading texts translated from foreign languages into English. A musician by profession, she graduated from Oberlin College and received an MM in Vocal Performance from Temple University. Molly currently works as a singer and continues her consulting practice as an English language expert with reading knowledge of 6 languages. She joined CETRA as a part-time employee in January, 2005. Fee Sepahi joined CETRA in October 2005 as a business development manager and became a Director of Sales in January 2007. Fee has worked as an independent consultant since 1992, establishing and implementing computer infrastructures and systems for small businesses. He earned his BA in Management of Information Systems from Eastern University. Fee is also a Microsoft Certified Network Engineer. He brings to CETRA his experience in sales, project management, government contracting, and computer network engineering, which he has refined over the last two decades. Angèle Surault joined CETRA in May 2006 as a project manager. She earned her M.B.A. from the University of Central Florida (Orlando) after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Angèle worked at TNS, one of the largest international market research companies, for the past 5 years in the International Data Collections Department, first as a bilingual interviewer and later as an editor and in-house translation supervisor. Allison Wright joined CETRA in September 2006 as an assistant project manager, and became project manager in September 2007. She earned her B.A. in Spanish at Gettysburg College. Dawn Hodson joined CETRA in September 2006 in the capacity of an administrative and project assistant. Having spent the early part of her career as an instructor, she moved to a position as a census bureau team leader and finally as a production purchasing assistant. Jeff Weiser joined CETRA in March 2007. In 2006 Jeff earned his B.A. in French and Spanish Studies at American University in Washington, DC. Since 2005, Jeff has worked as an interpretation intern in the Spanish Tribunal Court (Los Juzgados de lo Penal) in Madrid and as a translation intern in the Spanish Royal Mint (La Real Casa de la Moneda). Tony Guerra joined CETRA in June 2007 as the head of the new interpretation division. He holds an MFA from Temple University and a BFA from Philadelphia’s University of the Arts. A native of Havana, Cuba, Tony has been involved with the language services industry since 1994, first as Chief Editor of Spanish content for Dun & Bradstreet’s Donnelley Directory, then as Education Marketing Manager for Franklin Electronic Publishers, and also as a strategic Planner for Hispanic marketing initiatives at SAI Marketing. In 2001 he became a Language Services and Communications Consultant, specializing in Spanish legal, medical and labor translation, interpretation and communication for law firms, hospitals, corporations and language companies until 2005, when he assumed the position of Director of Translation and Interpretation at Nationalities Service Center in Philadelphia. Angela Wende-Minch joined CETRA in June 2007 as Assistant Manager for Marketing and Human Resources and became Marketing Manger in September 2007. She earned her MBA from the University of Cologne, Germany, after completing an apprenticeship in Tourism Management at the German Travel Bureau in Frankfurt. Born in Germany, Angela lived in California and Heidelberg before coming to Pennsylvania. At California Bavarian Inc., Angela managed projects in Germany and France, and she was comptroller and coordinator of multicultural research projects at the Department of Public Health at Heidelberg University. Angela is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Temple University teaching German, and a member of American Association of Teachers of German. She is pursuing her certificate in Teaching German as a Foreign Language at the Goethe Institute and has served as the Marketing Chair of Keystone State Boychoir in Philadelphia since 2005. Terry Adams joined CETRA in October 2007 as a Resource Developer. She earned her B.A. in Social Welfare from The Pennsylvania State University. Upon graduation, Terry immediately began her career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Caseworker for the Department of Public Welfare. In 1980 she was promoted to Income Maintenance Examiner for the Division of Quality Control where she thrived until her retirement in June of 2007. Throughout the years, Terry actively volunteered for community projects including Chairperson of the Special Needs Committee for her local school district in addition to a variety of fund raisers. Diana Mendez joined CETRA in August 2008 as a Project Manager.
